Digital Video Editing with Premiere Pro

Duration: Weekend course
Dates: Sat 28 Sep 11:00 - Sun 29 Sep 2024 17:00
Location: Digital Suite

This hands-on video editing course covers the basic skills of cutting and assembling digital footage.

Using industry standard software, you will learn to understand and apply a range of video editing techniques to enhance your projects and take your editing skills to the next level.

The course will consist of tutorials and exercises aimed at developing confidence in using Premiere Pro to cut, assemble and add effects to digital video files. By the end of the course you will have gained an understanding of how basic editing techniques can be applied to enhance your video projects and create engaging content.

It was good, I feel like I've got a good handle on Premiere Pro now. I enjoyed playing around with stock footage.

I have attended the class for the 3rd time. I am still learning new tricks with Sarah. She totally teaches to the student needs. Excellent!

Need to know

  • What to bring

Notepaper and pen. If you prefer to work on your own laptop with your own version of Premiere Pro rather than our Macs, then feel free to bring it along. Also feel free to bring along your own video files on a USB for editing if desired, however this is not essential as video footage will be provided. If you’d rather use your own headphones than the ones provided for editing audio, please bring these along (headphones will require a mini-jack connection or adaptor for connecting to our Macs).

  • What to wear

Whatever you are comfortable in.

  • Food & drink

Food and drinks are not allowed in the Digital Suite (a sealed water flask or drinking vessel is permitted).
