The perfect introduction to the screen printing process.

Screen printing is one of the most popular printmaking techniques in DCA Print Studio. In this one-day class you will learn how to create wonderfully colourful and graphic prints using hand-cut paper stencils. This class will give you the basic skills needed to move onto more advanced screen printing courses.

Need to know

  • What to bring

We provide everything you'll need, just bring yourself. You are welcome to bring along any inspiration, images or sketchbooks to work from.

 

  • What to wear

We'll provide aprons and gloves but recommend wearing old cloths as printmaking can be messy. Please note that open-toed footwear and sandals are not allowed.

 

  • Food & drinks

A sealed water flask or drinking vessel is permitted but other food and drinks are not allowed in the studio.

Claire McVinnie

Claire McVinnie is a Dundee based artist/printmaker specialising in etching, screen printing, collagraph and relief print processes. As well as working as a freelance artist, Claire is employed as a Print Studio Coordinator in DCA.

Marianne Wilson

Marianne Wilson (Livingstone) is an artist/printmaker with a BDes Hons Illustration and Printmaking and an MA Art History. She works as a Studio Coordinator in DCA Print Studio and specialises in papermaking.
