Tapestry showing the three Forth bridges

Craft Sunday: Landscape Tapestry with Freya Mabel Makes

Duration: 5h
Dates: Sun 22 Sep 2024 12:00 - 17:00
Location: Meeting Room

Join Freya of Freya Mabel Makes and learn how to make a mini tapestry of your own favourite view.

Using appliquéd felt in a minimalistic style and some simple hand sewing techniques, Freya will be on hand to pass on hints, tips and sewing skills.

Growing up, Freya spent many family holidays in the Highlands and Islands, where she developed a strong love for Scotland. The Scottish tapestries she now makes capture the iconic places she explored when she was younger, including the Glenfinnan Viaduct, Glen Coe and the Bass Rock. Bring along an image of your favourite view/landscape and turn it into a piece of textile art to take home and hang on your wall.

We’ll provide tea, coffee and sweet treats to help fuel your making throughout the afternoon.
