Three hand made books with different spine stitching infront of a press

Long Stitch Bookbinding

Duration: Four-week evening class
Dates: Wed 16 Apr 18:00 - Wed 7 May 2025 20:30
Location: Print Studio

Learn how to fold paper into sections and then sew them into covers using the same methods that have been used since the Middle Ages.

Incorporate leather elements and decorative stitches to create unusual books that you could use as a gift or keep for yourself as a journal or scrapbook.

Really enjoyed making a 'proper' book and learning new techniques. Emma's classes are always very enjoyable and it is great to learn the correct way to assemble things.

Emma is a fantastic teacher and her classes are great fun. Learned so much and will definitely be back for the next one.
