Chemigram with yellow circles and black details

Kitchen Darkroom Photography

Duration: One-day workshop
Dates: Sat 10 May 2025 12:00 - 16:00
Location: Print Studio

In this lo-fi workshop, you'll learn how to make experimental, abstract images.

Known as ‘chemigrams’, these lie somewhere between photography and painting. This process involves using light-sensitive paper, photographic chemicals and household products, including oil, masking tape, lemon juice and toothpaste.

Plant based developers will be used alongside traditional darkroom chemicals to develop your images. There will also be to try making photographic prints with Vaseline and leaves/feathers.
