Craft Sunday: Hand Printed Lampshades with Helen Ruth

Spend a relaxed afternoon with textile designer Helen Ruth and leave with your own beautiful bespoke lampshade. 

Create a design using leaves, plants and simple but effective printmaking techniques to decorate your lampshade. You’ll then be able to add some shiny finishing touches using Helen’s hot foil press. 

As always, we’ll have plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits to help fuel your making during this fun afternoon of creativity.

Helen Ruth Scarves

Helen Greensmith is a textile designer based in Aberdeen. She uses her hand drawn illustrations to create stunning scarves full of colour inspired by the wild Scottish landscape, animal life, fairy tales and folklore. Working on exciting collaborations with big organisations including Glenfiddich Whisky, The Braemar Highland Games Centre and The National Trust for Scotland, she also sends her scarves out to customers all over the world.
