Celebrate the music, and legacy of Michael Marra with an exclusive screening of his live performance at the Bonar Hall, Dundee in 2000. This newly re-edited and restored version brings to life the magic of the Bard o’ Lochee’s captivating presence, a rare opportunity to experience the concert that was recorded for his High Sobriety live album.

It features songs from Marra’s extensive back catalogue, such as Hermless, Frida Kahlo's Visit to the Taybridge Bar and If Dundee was Africa as well as his own versions of classics by Hoagy Carmichael, Cole Porter and Robert Burns. Intimate, poetic, and deeply rooted in Scottish culture with every chord, every lyric, and every laugh capturing the spirit of a musician whose work remains timeless.

This newly edited and restored version, in collaboration with DJCAD, University of Dundee enhances the visual experience, while preserving the energy and warmth of the original sound recording by Inner City Sound that made it so special.

Whether you’re a lifelong fan or new to Michael Marra, this screening is a heartfelt tribute to one of Scotland’s finest songwriters, followed by a Q&A with those involved in the production.
