In the Evening There is Feeling: Listening Group with Morwenna Kearsley

Led by guest artist Morwenna Kearsley and DCA’s Exhibitions team, In the Evening There is Feeling is DCA’s reading and listening group. It takes its name from Gertrude Stein’s 1914 book Tender Buttons and focuses, in an informal and welcoming way, on texts from the worlds of art and literature, and selected musical works. 

The event and discussion will be led by artist Morwenna Kearsley, who works primarily with photography, text and moving image. For this session as part of Claudia Martínez Garay’s exhibition at DCA, we will spend some time listening closely together to a selection of music from Latin America that has influenced her, including work by Luis Alberto Spinetta, Mercedes Sosa and rock supergroup Serú Girán. 

Digital copies of the track list will be sent out to all participants after they have booked a place. You can listen to the selected music on YouTube and stream it on many other online platforms.
