Still from a colourful animation sees a girl complain to her mother, who is crouching to listen

Chicken for Linda! – Schools Screening

Duration: 1h13m

When Linda is unfairly punished, her mother Paulette feels terribly guilty and tries to do anything to make it up to her – even promising to make chicken with peppers, a meal Linda’s late dad used to cook. But with a general strike closing stores across town, this innocent request quickly leads to a hilarious series of events that spirals out of control, as Paulette does everything she can to keep her promise and find a chicken for Linda.

Winner of the top prize at the 2023 Annecy Film Festival, this exceptional hand-painted animation with bright, colour-blocked characters is a sweet film that speaks of childhood from a child’s perspective while exploring important themes. An entertaining film with an invigorating blend of slapstick comedy, musical, and family drama.
