Three teen girls talk seriously in a school yard

Sisterhood – Schools Screening

15-year-olds Amina, Djeneba and Zineb have been friends for as long as they can remember. When Zineb experiences harassment from her brother’s best friend, Amina decides to post a compromising video of him on social media, hoping he will stop. Little does she know that the video will not only jeopardise her safety, but also strain their friendship.

Sisterhood celebrates female friendship while portraying tensions in France’s multicultural society and the ways young people are grappling with their identities in the global context of the post #MeToo era.

“An empowering film that covers real life issues… tells such a beautiful story about friendship, trust and the bond between girls in a hard world…”
