Ahlam Shibli

Ahlam Shibli

3 February - 1 April 2007

Ahlam Shibli is an artist who has achieved widespread international recognition for her photographic works, which document ordinary people going about their daily lives in extraordinary circumstances. The exhibition is comprised of two vast series of photographs which characterise her thoughtful, compelling practice. In the photographs represented in this exhibition the people depicted are, like Shibli herself, Arabs of Bedouin descent.
