Imagine Being a World Leader

08 September - 18 November 2012

Staged to coincide with the run-up to the 2012 American Presidential election, Imagine Being a World Leader creates a fictional political event which enables young peoples voices to be heard while exposing the methods of politicans and statesmen.

From 'Imagine Being a World Leader', a canvas is hung in DCA Gallery which looks like the office from which presidents take pictures with visiting world leaders.

British artists Dash Macdonald and Demitrios Kargotis have been working together since graduating from the Royal College of Art in London. They use performance, creative public experiments and witty interventions to explore social and political issues.

DashnDem have been working with local children from Blackness Primary School, teaching them leadership and public speaking techniques. The results of these workshops will form the inspiring, funny and thought-provoking content of the exhibition.
