Take a look at what's in store this month at DCA Cinema...

December is here, and there's so much to see this month at DCA. We've got family friendly tales, indie gems and two fantastic film seasons in Art of Action and the French Film Festival 2024. Plus, there are plenty of festive favourites coming up this month to get you into the Christmas spirit. Enjoy!

Tales of adventure for everyone

Disney’s vibrant animation Moana 2 is set to make a splash, and there are more thrills in Warren Miller’s 75 and this week’s Art of Action films The Adventures of Robin Hood and She Packs a Punch Double Bill. Then we’re off to contemporary Mumbai for the sweeping and emotional All We Imagine as Light.

Secrets, love...and Grand Theft Auto

Daniel Craig stars in Queer, Luca Guadagnino’s adaptation of the William S. Burroughs novella, while Amy Adams unleashes her wild side in Nightbitch. Meanwhile, the documentary Grand Theft Hamlet follows a pair of actors who stage a Shakespeare play in Grand Theft Auto. On Becoming a Guinea Fowl is an award-winning dark comedy-drama set in Zambia.

Christmas favourites and more

We’ve got lots festive favourites for all ages, including our traditional Christmas Eve screening of It’s a Wonderful Life! Plus, Disney’s live-action origin story Mufasa: The Lion King, Robbie Williams’ surreal biopic Better Man, and the Studio Ghibli gem Spirited Away back on the big screen.

We’re looking forward to exciting new releases in the New Year, including Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu, Angelina Jolie as iconic opera singer Maria Callas in Maria, Timothée Chalamet in Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown, and the epic historical drama The Brutalist, which is already hotly-tipped for the upcoming awards season.
