Family Activity at DCA

Find out what's on for families during February and download our Family Activity Calendar

We host many fun activities for families at DCA, from film screenings and workshops, to free creative activities for all ages and online resources. To make it as easy as possible for you to plan your family trip, our monthly calendar brings everything together in one place.

February sees the return of Discovery Family Film Club, plus a fun family film for the half-term break. There are also lots of chances to make your own artwork with Family Art Lab, Messy Play and activities inspired by Soft Impressions in Create Space.

If you're coming along to DCA to enjoy some family activity, don't forget that you can extend your visit with lunch in Jute Café Bar (you can even colour in the kids menu) and a trip to our shop, which stocks some great toys, books and pocket money friendly games.

Download our Family Activity Calendar below, where you'll find dates and times for all of our upcoming events as well as the opening hours for Create Space. You can also scroll down to book for some of our highlights.

In the Cinema

Join us in the cinema as Discovery Family Film Club returns for 2025. Our monthly screenings begin with The Red Turtle, an Oscar-nominated 2016 animation about finding harmony in nature, produced by Studio Ghibli. We also have a Relaxed screening of the film with consistent lighting, sound and the freedom to move around the cinema. Tickets for both screenings are Donate What You Can, from £0 to £8.

And for half-term, join us for the Oscar-nominated animated adventure The Wild Robot. Rated U, this sweet story will charm film fans of all ages. Don't miss our special ticket offers for family groups of three and four.
