Get Creative in DCA Print Studio: April - June 2025
Upcoming courses and workshops
Spring is here and it brings with it an exciting programme of creative courses and workshops for you to try in DCA Print Studio.
We’re thrilled to be bringing you some brand new classes over the next few months, from abstract photography using household products to a form of bookbinding that dates back to the Middle Ages.
We’ve also got classes in some of our most popular techniques, with multiple dates to choose from. And if you're not sure where to start, there's always our Print Studio Tour and Taster Session.

For this programme of courses and workshops you will notice an increase to our class prices. This is due to an increase in the recommended rates paid to freelance tutors. DCA is committed to Fair Work for our staff, artists and freelancers and as part of this we pay all freelance tutors in the Print Studio in line with the latest Artists' Union rates, reflecting the wealth of experience and expertise they bring to the studio.
The rise in class prices will help us to cover this increase, alongside increases in material costs and the costs of running the studio. We do our best to offer a wide range of price points, from free tours to increasing the number of lo-fi courses we provide. We also offer concession tickets for students, claimants and seniors and discounts for DCA Members and Registered Users.
Brand new courses for spring
We've got three brand new courses coming up over the next few months. Join us to try a different form of bookbinding in our four-week Long Stitch Bookbinding course, have a go at creating abstract images using household products at our Kitchen
Darkroom Photography workshop, and spend a weekend exploring a versatile and painterly printmaking technique with Experimental Relief Etch Printing.
Explore popular techniques
Some of our most popular processes are Screen Printing and Riso Printing and they're back for spring with multiple dates to choose from. There are introductory classes in both of these vibrant printmaking techniques, as well as an intermediate course in Screen Printing that looks at photographic techniques and power-assisted equipment.
Get a feel for the studio
Get a behind the scenes look at the space with our Print Studio Tour, where you can ask questions about our courses and find out more about the techniques available from our knowledgable staff. Our Taster Session gives you even more insight, with the chance to try some simple techniques and see examples of what can be achieved.
