New films from Friday 30 August

See what's on at DCA Cinema, including Sing Sing, The Mountain Within Me and Hollywoodgate.

Join us this week at DCA Cinema for Sing Sing, a stirring true story of resilience, humanity, and the power of art. Colman Domingo stars alongside an unforgettable cast of formerly incarcerated actors as inmates at Sing Sing prison who find purpose against the odds through a theatre group.

Delve into documentaries with The Mountain Within Me, which follows rugby player Ed Jackson as he climbs the Himalayas after a near-fatal spinal injury, and Hollywoodgate, a fly-on-the-wall look at the world of the Taliban. Elsewhere, Euphoria’s Hunter Schafer shines in inventive new horror Cuckoo, we complete our Béla Tarr retrospective with Damnation, and Cinema Rediscovered continues with neo-western Lone Star.

Sat 31 August is National Cinema Day, and to celebrate we’re bringing back some 90s favourites alongside new releases. Don’t miss Pixar’s original Toy Story, a 25th anniversary 4K restoration of The Mummy starring Brendan Fraser, Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction. What’s more, tickets to all films on this day are just £4. Enjoy!
