November films at DCA

Take a look at what's in store this month at DCA Cinema...

It’s another bumper month at Dundee’s indie cinema. We’re excited for two of the year’s biggest new releases – Gladiator II and Paddington in Peru – alongside acclaimed film festival hits, plenty of vintage gems and our thrilling new Art of Action film season. Enjoy!

Everyone's favourite bear is back!

Treat little film fans to Paddington in Peru – we’ve got great value tickets for family groups. Saoirse Ronan returns in Steve McQueen’s epic war drama Blitz, while Cillian Murphy stars in literary adaptation Small Things Like These. Our Art of Action season starts with 4K restorations of Speed and Seven Samurai.

Thrilling action from around the world

We’ve got films from two of contemporary cinema’s great directors this week, as Ridley Scott brings us the spectacular Gladiator II and Andrea Arnold releases coming-of-age fable Bird, starring Barry Keoghan. Art of Action continues with Sam Peckinpah’s savage 1969 Western The Wild Bunch and Michelle Yeoh in 1985 Hong Kong action film Yes, Madam!

True stories and mega monster fun

Bill Nighy stars in Joy, a British drama about the conception of the world’s first IVF baby. Meanwhile,  award-winning documentary Dahomey follows 26 royal treasures returning to the Republic of Benin from a Paris museum. We’re also looking forward to Dundead screenings of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and 1954 monster movie classic Godzilla.

Christmas favourites and more

December brings more family-friendly fun with the new Disney adventure Moana 2 and the long-awaited musical fantasy Wicked. Ralph Fiennes stars in mystery-thriller Conclave, and we’ll be bringing you plenty of festive favourites to kickstart your Christmas celebrations, including our traditional screenings of It’s a Wonderful Life.
