Sensory bags

Sensory bags are now available in our galleries

As part of our ongoing commitment to accessibility and to help ensure that our gallery spaces are as welcoming and open to all as they can be, we’re excited to share news of our sensory bags.

Utilised by many museums, galleries, and public spaces these kits contain tools that can help visitors with disabilities or those that are neuro-diverse or have sensory needs regulate themselves while in our space. It can also provide tools that will improve access to existing resources, such as our exhibition notes.

There are two types of bag available: child and adult. These refer to the size of the ear defenders and type of magnifying glass (the child one is made of wood and has an easy to grip handle).
